March 21st 2009 Fishing Tournament

The Band of Brothers of Apopka Calvary Church of the Nazarene held their 1st Fishing Tournament. It was windy and a bit cold and only 5 Bass were caught, but everyone had a good time. We had 6 boats and around 20 participants. Several families joined in the fun! While on the River several participants saw three gators and a wild turkey! Afterwards we added some new Bass to our Kids Pond - catch and release!

Big Fishing Weekend

WOW - It was a Big weekend of Fishing at the Fish Camp. We had over 20 boats and around 60 guests - different fisherman families and hunters showed up. Busy day for the Friday night Fish Fry - record crowd!

What's amazing this was not a special holiday, just a regular day at Nelson's.

Duck Hunting

When I arrived this morning, this family was pulling out after a Great Morning of Duck Hunting. They allowed me to take a photo of them and maybe they'll tell us more when they see this post.

Black Panther Sighting

A Black Panther was sniffing around the mailbox area! Since were located next to the Ocala National Forest - we do get unique visitors from time to time. Remember to keep your Camera ready.
